What is AmplifyRPN?
AmplifyRPN is a referral partner network (RPN) of like-minded agencies and service providers supporting each other via referrals.
What AmplifyRPN is NOT?
AmplifyRPN is not a mastermind where we have meetings or require anything from anyone. I wanted it to be about opening the door to getting connected to other like-minded Service Providers (if you'd like) and of course getting referrals directly.
Why are referrals so important?
Most Service Providers (SP's) and agencies are run by subject matter experts, not sales people. When they wake up in the morning, they don't dream of sales funnels, CRMs and sales copy. They simply want to do the work they fell in love with enough to start a business around.
Other key points:
- Most SP's get all their business from word of mouth and referrals anyway.
- SP's typically don't focus on referrals/word-of-mouth as an active way to grow despite it being the best/easiest/cost effective way to grow.
- Even if a SP is an industry expert and known in the space, most brands choose an agency based upon a referral anyway.
Why did I originally start it?
I wanted to formalize what my agency had already done to successfully grow. I also don't believe other agencies are using referrals intentionally to grow their business (as well as they should), which I believe is a mistake.
What I'm hoping it will turn in to?
Simple way to get and give referrals. A way for people to meet and build their own referral network with other agencies and service providers.
What I'm doing now to reach that goal (how I'll do it)?
How we amplify referrals:
1. Be a matchmaker - This is the heart of referrals. If we, or someone we know can do a great job solving a problem we'll make the direct connection.
2. Research and connect - If someone comes to us looking for a specific service that we or anyone we know offers... we'll find someone who does and make the connection.
What makes this different from other agency growth gurus?
While thinking deeply about building out a legitimate RPN, I came across many gurus claiming to help grow agencies and service providers. While some have good ideas to share, many are building communities around their own sales funnel.
Unlike gurus discussing how to grow your agency, and that you should pay for them to teach you, there's nothing for me to sell. We are giving and getting referrals daily, have no agenda or course to sell you or mastermind group for you to join. It's obvious that we genuinely benefit from knowing great service providers and receiving referrals from time to time ourselves. In fact, we love that we can get to know other SP's with no strings attached!
Glossary
RPN - Referral Partner Network; A network of like-minded service providers growing via referrals
SP - Service Provider; For example, an agency working with CPG brands.
RP - Referral Partner; An SP that gives and gets referrals as a means to grow themselves.
